jesus

Jesus Acosta is in his second season performing with NobleMotion and has performed nationally in venues such as The Ailey Theater, The Kennedy Center, and the Rose Wagner PAC in Salt Lake City.  A Dance Magazine Panel recently recognized him at the National College Dance Festival for his “fluidity of motion that was punctuated by sharp arrests of motion and dynamic shifts of focus and presence.” Critic Neil Ellis Orts has also commended him for his “commanding presence.”

 

Jackie

Jacquleyne Boe received her BFA from the University of Oklahoma, where she had the pleasure of dancing works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Mark Dendy, Jean Erdman, Austin Hartel, and Pilobolus Dance Theater. She has Performed Internationally with Hartel Dance Group and The National Ballet of Paraguay in Asuncion, Paraguay. She also had the pleasure of working with Erick Hawkins Dance during Erick Hawkins Centennial Celebration at venues such as Jacob's Pillow and the 92nd Y New York City, NY. This is her first season with NobleMotion Dance and is also currently working with Reck Dance Project and Frame Dance Productions.

Jared Doster has performed all over Texas, New York, and Europe, and has worked professionally for many dance companies such as Pilobolus Dance Theatre, Kista Tucker Dance Company, and Noble Motion Dance Company just to name a few.
Originally from Huntsville Texas, Jared started dancing in 2004 and went on to earn a B.F.A in Dance and a B.S. in Industrial Development and Design from Sam Houston State University. In 2009 Jared received the SHSU undergraduate Choreography award for his outstanding choreography in modern dance and in 2010 he received the SHSU outstanding performer award.

Tristin Ferguson was born in Brooklyn, NY, and was trained under the instruction of Mrs. Anna Ashy as a member of Alief Jazz Ballet Dance Company. Tristin holds a BFA in dance from Sam Houston State University. She plans to continue dancing as a member of NobleMotion Dance while pursuing a 2-year degree in Nursing.  Critic Neil Ellis Orts described her dancing as “fierce.”

Shohei

Shohei Iwahama was born in Tokyo, Japan.  He began dancing at the age of 15 under the tutelage of Miyako Kato and eventually performed for her company. In 2006-2007, he studied at The Ailey School in NY, under a one-year grant from the Agency of Cultural Affairs of Japan.  Shohei is currently pursuing his degree at SHSU and is in his second year performing with NobleMotion.

Seth

Seth McPhail is scholarship student at Sam Houston State University where he is pursuing his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. Seth has performed in many productions across the United States including the Brazos Contemporary Dance Festival in College Station, TX, the American College Dance Festival South-Central conference in Natchitoches, LA, and the American College Dance Festival National Gala in New York City, NY. Seth has performed works from many notable choreographers including: Andy Noble, Lorraine Katterhenry, Lisa Nicks, Michelle Manzanales, and Catalina Molnari. Currently, Seth in his first season performing with NobleMotion Dance.

  Erin Reck has been prolifically dancing, choreographing, teaching and drumming up projects in New York City for the past 12 years. She received her BA from the University of Washington, and her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. She has danced with Sara Rudner Performance Ensemble, Susan Marshall & Company, Hope Stone Dance Company, and Molly Rabinowitz/Liquid Grip. She has recently moved to Houston and is teaching at Sam Houston State University, Rice University, and Hope Center. She is the artistic director of Reck Dance Projects. She is thrilled to be dancing with NobleMotion.
brittany

Brittany Thetford has most recently been seen performing in KinkyKool Fan Blowing Hard at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and at the Ailey Theater in New York City. You may also have seen her at Dance Houston’s 8th annual citywide dance festival held at The Wortham Center and at Weekend of Texas Contemporary Dance at the Miller Outdoor Theater. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Dance at Sam Houston State University and is in her second year performing with NobleMotion.

 

Brit Wallis, a native Houstonian, trained at Shelly Power’s Academy of Dance, and continued her studies at the Houston Ballet Academy under the direction of Ben Stevenson. She later trained and performed with the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and most recently with Luna Negra Dance Theater in Chicago, IL. During her career, Brit has worked with Margo Sappington Randy Duncan, Peter Chu, Mario Zambrano, Eddy Ocampo, Robert Battle, Michelle Manzanales, Gustavo Sansano Ramirez, Jason Parsons and Kate Skarpetowska. Brit is currently in her third season with Hope Stone Dance with Jane Weiner, and in her second season with NobleMotion Dance.
