Dillon Bell
DancerDillon Bell is a mover, maker and artist currently based in Huntsville, Texas. Growing up in Daytona Beach, Florida, He has always strived for a tenacious grasp for movement and rhythm. Dillon has worked with much-acclaimed companies and choreographers, such as Dual Rivet, Jon Lehrer, Robert Moses, Kiki Lucas, Joshua Manculich, Andrew and Dionne Noble, Adele Nickel, Travis Lake and Francisco Graciano; Including tap dance legends such as Nicholas Van Young, Sarah Reich, Charles Renato, Scott Poiley, Jade Whitmire and Derick Grant. Dillon is currently working towards his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance at Sam Houston State University, further cultivating his own twists and intricacies. This is Dillon’s third year working with NobleMotion Dance.
Deontay Gray
DancerDeontay Gray is a native of Baltimore, Maryland where he began his journey in the arts as a musician. As a vocalist he has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Meyerhof, and Strathmore with musicians Linda R. Hall, Dr. Craig Jessop and Marin Alsop. At the age of 19 he began his dance career and later received his B.F.A in Dance from the Conservatory at Shenandoah University. In 2015 he was featured as a choreographer and dancer presenting his work in The Royal Theatre in Winchester, England. He was featured in works at the 2015, 2017 & 2018 New York Jazz Choreography Dance Project at the Ailey Citigroup Theatre and the Salvatore Capezio Theater in NYC, the 2016 VelocityDC Dance Festival at Sidney Harman Hall in Washington, DC, and the 34th Annual Choreographers’ Showcase at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in Maryland. While in Maryland he has been a guest artist with Dance n B’more, CCBC dance company, Deep Vision, Opera in Baltimore, Ballet Embody Dance Company, CityDance, Anne Arundel County Orchestra, and more. He has been a dancer with Christopher K. Morgan and Artists since 2016. He joined the Project C Studios dance family in 2020 where he was teacher and choreographer. In 2022 he held the title of Artistic Director for the studio. In 2023 Deontay began working with the Uptown Dance Company in Houston TX, where he was featured in the company’s production of Nutcracker, as Arabian, and Spanish Duet; as well as The Sandman in the production of Hansel and Gretel. Deontay is excited to join NobleMotion Dance Company for their upcoming production, Stalactites.
Tyler Orcutt
DancerTyler Orcutt is a Houston-based dance artist currently in his fifth season with NobleMotion Dance, where he has performed nationally and internationally; he was recently a featured performer in Andy Noble’s Science Worth Dancing About, a 2023 TEDx Talk and at the United Nations’ AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland. Tyler is a Lecturer of Dance at Sam Houston State University, his alma mater. Prior to his move to Texas, Tyler spent eight seasons with Repertory Dance Theatre (2012- 2020). His RDT career included performing lead roles in historical works by Ted Shawn, Michio Itō, Doris Humphrey, José Limón, Donald McKayle, and Merce Cunningham, as well as contemporary works by Bebe Miller, Lar Lubovitch, Danielle Agami, Bill Evans, Noa Zuk & Ohad Fishof, and Zvi Gotheiner, among many others. Tyler has formerly served as adjunct faculty at the University of Houston, and faculty at studios in Texas, Utah, and Florida. His education includes an MFA in Dance from SHSU and a BFA in Dance from the University of South Florida. His choreography has been presented at Dance Italia, Barnstorm Dance Festival, American College Dance Association, RDT’s Emerge, SHSU, and Scottsdale Community College; his most recent commission will be performed by Movement Source Dance Company in 2024.
Jacob Regan
DancerJacob Regan is an improviser, performance artist, movement researcher, choreographer, and contemporary dancer. Jacob grew up in North Carolina where he began his movement studies with capoeira, accumulating skills in breaking and contemporary dance during his high school years at Northwest School of the Arts. After receiving his B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography with a Philosophy minor from East Carolina University, he lived in the Boston area creating, teaching, and performing with Urbanity Dance, Prometheus Dance, Lorraine Chapman the Company, and as a freelance artist. He earned a MFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University in 2024, loves his two cats Waffles & Hashbrown, and is currently reading “Determined” by Robert Sapolsky. This is Jacob’s 4th season with NobleMotion Dance, and astute audience members may remember him from his reoccurring role as “Not Tyler.”
Wesley Cordova
DancerWesley Cordova started dancing at the age of eight and was instructed in various forms of dance at North Harris Performing Arts. While teaching at N.H.P.A Wesley became a member of Revolve Dance Company where he worked with Amy Cain and Dawn Dippel. Additionally, he was a cast member of Gothic South Production's, Revolve on Camera; a series of several dance films, directed by Benjamin Epps. He also performed in several East meets West productions, performed alongside the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and has worked under Wes Veldink, the creative director of the Wes Veldink Movement in NYC. While acquiring his B.F.A. in dance at Sam Houston State University, he became a member of NobleMotion Dance and performed with the company for three years. Most recently he was a performer and dance captain for two Houston Grand Opera productions. He has studied under; Lindsey McGill, Randall Flinn, Elijah Alhaji Gibson, Andy Noble, Dionne Noble, Manuel Vigoulle, Amy Cain, and Dawn Dippel. Wesley has continued to dance with NobleMotion, last performing in the NMD/Musiqa production Meeting of Minds in 2024.
Sheena Kapila
DancerSheena Kapila is a mover, maker and educator originally from Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University in the Summer of 2022, along with a minor in Kinesiology. Kapila is currently pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) from Sam Houston State University. Training under Nadine Selinger for fifteen years she has trained in various genres. She has had the opportunity to train with the Radio City Rockettes, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, School of Alberta Ballet as well with representing Canada at the World Dance Championships in Poland and Germany. One of the most recent ventures was training and performing in Lucca, Italy with Dance Italia. In her collegiate career she was fortune to work with choreographers Dual Rivet, Take Ueyama, Andy Noble, Dionne Noble, Randall Flinn, Evelyn Toh, Francisco (Cisco) Graciano, Colette Kerwick, Gregory Dolbashian, Joshua Manculich and many more! She is excited to be dancing with NobleMotion Dance this season.
Kalli Loudan
DancerOriginally from Houston, TX, Kalli began her dance training at a young age at a multitude of studios where she developed a love for all styles of dance. She began her collegiate career at Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she worked with choreographers Junichi Fukuda and Darrell Grand Moultrie. Finishing her B.F.A in dance at Sam Houston State University in 2021, she performed work of choreographers Andy Noble, Dionne Noble, Donald Shorter, Gabrielle Lamb, and Joshua Manculich. Kalli apprenticed with NobleMotion Dance starting in 2019 and became a full company member after 2 seasons. She later joined DanceWorks Chicago in 2021 where she had the opportunity to work and learn repertoire by Mark Caserta, Robert Battle, Drew Lewis, Hanna Brictson, Charissa-Lee Barton, Demis Volpi, and RubénGraciani. She has also had the privilege to work with choreographers Noelle Kayser, Mike Esperanza, Ching Ching Wong, Nicole von Arx, and Ethan Colangelo on outside projects. Kalli is now a freelance dance artist working with Boykin Dance Project, Niko8, Moonwater Dance Project, and Hedwig Dances.
Lyndsey McGill
DancerLindsey McGill was born in Houston, Texas. She began her formal dance training under Elizabeth and Rosemary Molak in Orange County, California and continued training at the Houston Ballet Academy under the direction of Ben Stevenson, Clara Cravey, and Priscilla Nathan Murphy. Since graduating from the Houston Ballet Academy, Lindsey has worked with companies in Houston, New York, and Portland including Northwest Dance Project, Hope Stone Dance, Michele Brangwen Dance Ensemble, iMEE, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, NobleMotion Dance, The Next Stage Project, KDNY, and O Dance. She has also had the opportunity to dance in projects by jhon r. stronks, Teresa Chapman, Vault, 6 Degrees, Freneticore, and iLluminate, among others. Lindsey was voted Reader’s Choice Best Dancer in 2006 for the Houston Press’ annual “Best...of Houston” series, and artistic directors and dancers awarded her the 2007 Buffy Award for Best Performing Artist in Houston 2005-2007. Lindsey has been choreographing since 2004 and has made works for Revolve Dance Company, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, iMEE, Northwest Dance Project, O Dance, Freneticore, 12 Minutes Max, Frenetic Fringe Festival, and the Big Range Dance Festival. She serves as co-director, choreographer, and dancer for Group Acorde. After guesting with NobleMotion in 2013, Lindsay has returned for a fifth season dancing with NobleMotion Dance.
Maria Perez
DancerMaria Perez is a Houston-based dancer who values collaboration, community, creativity, and exploration. Maria has trained in ballet and modern technique for majority of her dance career and has a high interest in contemporary, partnering, and improvisational work. In 2021, Maria had the opportunity to travel internationally to attend Dance Italia in Lucca, Italy and experienced repertoire from Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. Maria has also trained with NYC based artists Alexandra Wells, Sidra Bell, Ami Shulman, Carlos Kerr, DualRivet, Mike Esperanza, and Elia Mrak. In 2022, with NobleMotion Dance, directed by Andy and Dionne Noble, Maria performed in their collaboration with composer J.E. Hernández for Performing Arts Houston’s New/Now Artist Commissioning Project. Throughout her collegiate career, Maria performed in works by choreographers such as Gregory Dolbashian, Francisco Graciano, Adele Nickel, Andy Noble, Dionne Noble, and Takehiro Ueyama (Take Dance). Recently, Maria attended a Whim W’Him intensive in the Northwest, where she worked with Olivier Wevers, Karl Watson, and Michael Arellano, and the FLOCKWORKS intensive in Chicago, IL where she continued to practice her partnering and choreographic skills with master teachers Alice Klock and Florian Lochner.
Lauren Serrano
Dancer, Admin and Marketing Manager, NMD2 Co-Artistic DirectorLauren Serrano is originally from Orange County, California. She attended Orange County High School for the Performing Arts for classical and commercial dance. Lauren graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a B.F.A in Dance. She later received her MA in Dance Education from the Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program at Hunter College and her MFA from Sam Houston State University. Lauren has performed with professional dance companies in New York and California with the honor of working with artists such as Jennifer Muller, Young Soon Kim, Pedro Ruiz, Mike Esperanza, Andrea Schermolly, Yusha Sorzano, Christopher Pilafian, Brandon Whited, and Edgar Zendejas. Her work has been selected to perform at festivals in California, New York, and Texas. Serrano was recently selected as one of the 2023-2024 Artists in Residence from Dance Source Houston. She is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Dance at Sam Houston State University and is thrilled to be dancing in her fifth season with NobleMotion Dance.
Angelica Villa
DancerAngelica Villa, from Houston, Texas, embarked on her dance journey with Aldine Dance Company and Red Door Productions under Sarita Salinas, where she honed her skills in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop, while also delving into aerial, and stilts techniques. In her time with Aldine Dance Company and Red Door Productions, she had the opportunity to study under Jennifer Mabus, Lauren Anderson, Amanda Wheeland, David Monroe, Shohei M Iwahama, and Jason Anderson. She furthered her studies at Texas Woman’s University before earning her BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University as a Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholar. In her time at Sam Houston State University, she worked with esteemed artists such as Sidra Bell, Dionne and Andrew Noble, Evelyn Toh, Donald Shorter Jr., Adele Nickel, and Travis Lake. Continuing to enrich her artistic repertoire she expanded her dance horizons with Dance Works Chicago, Ballet Hispanico, and Dance Italia. Currently, in her third year with Noble Motion, she looks forward to exploring new creative opportunities in her current collaboration with NMD.
Jared Doster
Set Designer - StructuresJared Doster is a former dancer with Pilobolus Dance Theatre where he toured internationally to more than 25 countries from 2010-2016. Jared has a very diverse background in drafting, metal fabrication, welding, theatrical set design, hip hop, contemporary floorwork, partnering, and choreography. Jared was also a founding member of Houston, TX based NobleMotion Dance Company, where early on he was a part of the collaboration of many of their signature works. Jared holds a B.S. in Industrial Design and an M.F.A. in Dance from Sam Houston State University, and was a former Assistant Professor at Northwestern State University. In 2018 Jared won the Dance Magazine’s Outstanding Choreography Award and was featured in Dance Teacher Magazine. Jared’s choreographic work has been showcased at the Kennedy Center, Jacob’s Pillow, the McCallum Dance Festival, Seattle’s Men in Dance Festival, Dance Gallery Festival, and across Texas. Since 2016, Jared has designed and built many unique structural set designs for a number of dance companies in the Houston area that serve as conceptual centerpieces in their choreography as well as standalone functioning sculptures.
In 2020, after 17 years in the dance field, Jared decided to make a career switch so that he could fully commit his time to running his custom fabrication business, Texas Tough Customs. Since then, he has become known coast to coast as the top custom suspension parts builder in the county for Honda side by side UTVs, and has even been feature twice on the international television show Motor Head Garage. Currently, Jared focuses his time on designing, developing, and creating new parts for the Honda off-road industry, and on occasion he makes a guest appearance back in the dance field with a master class or an original set design.
Olivia Salazar
Stitcher/Costume Design AssistantOlivia Salazar is a Texas-based dancer, choreographer, and costume artist focused on creative expression and performance. Olivia received her BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University where she had the opportunity to perform choreography by professors Adele Nickel, Andrew Noble, Dionne Sparkman Noble, and Lauren Serrano, as well as guest artists Dual Rivet and Netta Yerushalmy. Olivia has worked as a costumer for choreographers Francisco Graciano, Travis Lake, and Andy Noble, and companies Dual Rivet and Noble Motion Dance. Her upcoming projects include a costume collaboration with Houston Contemporary Dance Company.
Christina Maley
Installation/Scenic Design AssistantChristina Maley graduated from Western Michigan University with degrees in Dance and Technical Theatre. She spent 5 years in Indiana performing with Motus Dance Theatre and working as the lighting technician at the Honeywell Center before moving to Houston. She works with Open Dance Project as their Production/Stage Manager. She has also worked as a Production Manager for HopeStone and as a Union Stagehand and Dresser in the Theater District.
Bryan Ealey
Lighting Designer/Technical DirectorBryan Ealey's passion for lighting design is rooted in the fundamental ability to shape the stage in a way that supports, gives focus, and elevates the audience's performance and experience. As technical and visual artists, we are here to service the story being told, whether presented through theatre, dance, or music. Bryan is an MFA Lighting Design graduate from the University of California San Diego and a resident Lighting designer /technical director & Board Member of NobleMotion Dance. He was born and raised in Houston, TX, and holds a BA in Drama from Prairie View A&M University. Following undergrad, he went on to work at local Houston theaters as an audio and lighting technician and has toured across the country in concert venues such as The Fox Theatre (Detroit) and Madison Square Garden (New York) as an Audio Assistant with International R&B Artist, Teena Marie - all while being an Audio Engineer and Lighting Designer at House of Blues - Houston and Lighting Director for River Pointe Church in Richmond, Texas. In the 15 years of his professional career, he worked as the AVL Supervisor and Associate Production Coordinator at Stages Theatre (Houston) until he arrived at Sam Houston State University - Dance Dept. (2015 - 2020) as their Dance Technical Coordinator / Director. Throughout his career, he has been fortunate enough to design for several theater and dance companies such as Main Street, 4th Wall, Stages, The Landing Theatre Company, Houston Grand Opera, Unity Theatre, Horse Head Theatre, Classical Theatre Company, NobleMotion Dance, Open Dance Project, Social Movement Contemporary Dance, Houston Contemporary Dance, Urban Souls Dance, and Von Ussar Danceworks (New York Dance Festival) at the Alvin Ailey Theater.
Ryan McGettigan
Scenic DesignerRyan McGettigan is Houston-based and designs for theater, opera, and dance working across the country and Europe. He is the resident designer at Cape Rep Theatre in Brewster, MA and a company artist with Prague Shakespeare Company and Houston’s Classical Theatre Company. Houston credits include previous collaborations with Open Dance Project, Theatre Under the Stars, Stages Repertory Theatre, Queensbury Theatre, 4th Wall Theatre, Catastrophic Theatre. Awards for Best Scenic Design from Houston Press: Marie Antoinette (Stages), Elf The Musical and Violet (Queensbury), Jesus Hopped the “A” Train and Pride and Prejudice (4th Wall), Curse of the Starving Class, Baby Screams Miracle, and Fefu and Her Friends (Catastrophic) and Broadway World Houston: Bonnie and Clyde (TUTS Underground). Regional: Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Cape Rep, Abilene Shakespeare Festival, Prague Shakespeare. Travis Lake
ComposerTravis Lake is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on choreography, music composition, and digital production. He holds a BFA from the University of Utah (American Dance Movement National Scholarship) and an MFA from Sam Houston State University (Jonathan Charles Endowed Scholarship). Based in Texas, he is a faculty member in the Department of Dance at Sam Houston State University. His research investigates the relationship between conflict and connection in narrative-based artwork. In addition to his role within the department, he works closely with the National-Champion Orange Pride Dance Team. Travis has choreographed over 50 works for organizations, including NobleMotion Dance, University of Minnesota, Brigham Young University, University of South Carolina, Sam Houston State University, Utah Valley University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and West Virginia University. His work has been presented in venues such as: Capitol Theatre (UT), Disneyland (CA), ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex (FL), Marriott Center for Dance (UT), Hard Rock Resort (FL), The Ocean Center (FL), Daytona Beach Bandshell (FL), James and Nancy Gaertner Performing Arts Center (TX), and the Rose Wagner Blackbox Theatre (UT).
Barry Doss
Costume Designer - Cape DesignA native Texan, Barry received a BA in Theatre with a minor in Fashion Design from TCU graduating with honors in 1991. He worked as Resident Costume Designer for the Indianapolis based modern dance company, Dance Kaleidoscope until 1996, collaborating with Artistic Director, David Hochoy creating costumes for Scheherazade, Girl at the Piano, Carnival of the Animals, Carmina Burana, Seasons, and The Planets. After a European Tour of the musical HAIR as a performer, he moved to NYC where he worked in wardrobe and costume design on and off Broadway in costume shops, for TV pilots and independent film, as well as numerous Broadway musicals and plays. Some notable wardrobe jobs include Phantom of the Opera, 1776, Finian's Rainbow, Jane Eyre the Musical, Chinglish, The Scottsboro Boys, Putting It Together (starring Carol Burnett), The Vertical Hour (starring Julianne Moore), and Three Days of Rain (starring Julia Roberts). For over five years he worked on the wardrobe crew as stitcher maintaining the Tony Award winning costumes for the hit musical Wicked. At Lincoln Center he was Wardrobe Supervisor for ANN, and designed Holland Taylor’s Tony Awards gown. In 2014 he returned to the Lone Star state to create a new Costume Crew course and Work Study Program for the Dance Department of Sam Houston State University. He was awarded Best Costume Design by the Houston Press for Stages Repertory Theatre's production of Marie Antoinette, worked with The Alley Theatre in Houston designing three new staged works in launching the first annual, Alley All New Festival, and he designed Opera in the Height’s 20th Anniversary production of Orfeo ed Eurdice directed by Leslie Swackhamer.
