Wesley Cordova
DancerWesley Cordova started dancing at the age of eight and was instructed in various forms of dance at North Harris Performing Arts. While teaching at N.H.P.A Wesley became a member of Revolve Dance Company where he worked with Amy Cain and Dawn Dippel. Additionally, he was a cast member of Gothic South Production's, Revolve on Camera; a series of several dance films directed by Benjamin Epps. He also performed in several East meets West productions, performed alongside the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and has worked under Wes Veldink, of Wes Veldink Movement in NYC. While acquiring his B.F.A. in Dance at Sam Houston State University, he became a member of NobleMotion Dance and has performed with the company for four years. Recently he was a performer and dance captain for two Houston Grand Opera productions and is currently instructing at the Institute of Contemporary Dance and Texas Academy of Dance Arts. He has studied under Amy Cain, Dawn Dippel, Randall Flinn, Elijah Alhaji Gibson, Lindsey McGill, Andy Noble, Dionne Noble, and Manuel Vigoulle.
Fiona Dorr
DancerFiona Dorr is a performer and movement artist who began her training at the age of 5 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Fiona graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University where she received her BFA in dance. She was able to explore her interests under the tutelage of Ilana Goldman, Gwen Welliver, Jawole Willow Jo Zollar, Anjali Austin, and Donna Uchizono, among others. While there, she had the pleasure to perform in works premiering both onstage and on screen through FSU’s School of Dance and School of Film.
Upon graduation, Fiona worked with Grand Rapids Ballet were she had the pleasure of performing work by George Balanchine and Christopher Stowell. Most recently, Fiona became a company member with Vitacca Ballet where she’s performed works by Garrett Smith and Madison Hicks. Fiona has had the pleasure to continue exploring her artistic voice with companies and choreographers including Orsolina28, Peter Chu, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Gaga Movement Language, Alonzo King Lines Ballet and others. As well as working within choreographic processes with choreographers Juliano Nunes, Florian Lochner and Alice Klock, Francisco Gella, Gregg Russell, and others. She has found that exploring a variety of genres and processes that she immerses herself has pushed her to dive into her own creative expression and develop optimism for the art of movement. DancerLindsey McGill was born in Houston, Texas. She began her formal dance training under Elizabeth and Rosemary Molak in Orange County, California and continued training at the Houston Ballet Academy under the direction of Ben Stevenson, Clara Cravey, and Priscilla Nathan Murphy. Since graduating from the Houston Ballet Academy, Lindsey has worked with companies in Houston, New York, and Portland including Northwest Dance Project, Hope Stone Dance, Michele Brangwen Dance Ensemble, iMEE, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, NobleMotion Dance, The Next Stage Project, KDNY, and O Dance. She has also had the opportunity to dance in projects by jhon r. stronks, Teresa Chapman, Vault, 6 Degrees, Freneticore, and iLluminate, among others. Lindsey was voted Reader’s Choice Best Dancer in 2006 for the Houston Press’ annual “Best...of Houston” series, and artistic directors and dancers awarded her the 2007 Buffy Award for Best Performing Artist in Houston 2005-2007. Lindsey has been choreographing since 2004 and has made works for Revolve Dance Company, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, iMEE, Northwest Dance Project, O Dance, Freneticore, 12 Minutes Max, Frenetic Fringe Festival, and the Big Range Dance Festival. She serves as co-director, choreographer, and dancer for Group Acorde. After guesting with NobleMotion in 2013, Lindsay has returned for a fourth season dancing with NobleMotion Dance.
Tyler Orcutt
DancerTyler Orcutt, a dance artist based near Houston, is currently an MFA candidate at Sam Houston State University. Former dancer with Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT) from 2012-2020, Tyler has toured the west coast performing in lead roles choreographed by Modern Dance pioneers Humphrey, Limón, Shawn, McKayle, and Cunningham. With RDT, he also worked with current choreographers Bebe Miller, Lar Lubovitch, Danielle Agami, Tiffany Rae-Fisher, and Zvi Gotheiner, among many others. He has guested with Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company during a collaboration with RDT and the Eccles Theater, as well as St. Petersburg Opera and Moving Current Dance Collective. He most recently joined NobleMotion Dance in the summer of 2020. Tyler holds a BFA in dance from The University of South Florida, during which he performed in works by Bill T. Jones and Doug Varone. This is Tyler's third season dancing with NobleMotion Dance.
Jacob Regan
DancerJacob Regan is a movement researcher who has a love for dance, a knack for falling, and a passion for improvisation. In 2017 he got his BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from East Carolina University, where he was introduced to both contact improvisation and formal philosophy. These both developed into fascinations for Jacob, the zeal of which he may never recover from. While living in Boston, he danced with Urbanity Dance Company, Prometheus Dance, Lorraine Chapman the Company, and worked with Contact Improvisation Boston and Contact Improvisation Jamaica Plain to facilitate weekly improv jams. A wanderer at heart, he’s grateful to have spent the past eight months before moving to Texas traveling around the lower 48 US states with his life and dance partner Jen Passios, living mostly out of a tent and dancing in many national parts, forests, and the occasional cave. Jacob is a MFA Dance graduate student at Sam Houston State University. His current research is centered around the aesthetic value and practical utility of movement improvisation in the field of contemporary dance. Jacob is in his third season with NobleMotion.
Lauren Serrano
Dancer, Admin and Marketing Manager, NMD2 Co-Artistic DirectorLauren Serrano is originally from Orange County where she trained at many local studios and attended Orange County High School for the Performing Arts for classical and commercial dance. She graduated from University of California Santa Barbara with a B.F.A. in dance, and in addition to her Masters in Dance Education from the Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program at Hunter College in 2015. In New York City Lauren had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Jennifer Muller, Young Soon Kim, Toni Renee Johnson, Pedro Ruiz, and Mike Esperanza. Lauren moved back to Santa Barbara to teach and direct the youth competitive teams at Santa Barbara Dance Arts while dancing with Santa Barbara Dance Theater and as a soloist for Nebula Dance Lab. While dancing with SBDT she performed works by Andrea Schermolly, Yusha Sorzano, Christopher Pilafian, Jennifer Muller, Stephanie Miracle, Brandon Whited, and Edgar Zendejas. Lauren recently graduated from Sam Houston State University with her M.F.A. She is currently based in Houston, Texas and dances with NobleMotion Dance directed by Andy and Dionne Noble and co-directs NobleMotion Dance 2.
Joseph Stevens
DancerJoseph Stevens was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and later relocated to San Antonio, Texas where he studied in vocal and dance performance. He continued his studies at the University of North Texas earning a degree in the Bachelor of Arts in Dance under professors Shelley Cushman, Claudia Howard Queen, Robin Lakes, and Teresa Cooper. In addition, Joseph has had the opportunity to have choreographic works in multiple dance festivals across Texas. He’s worked with companies/choreographers such as Jake Bone (Doug Varone and Dancers), LA based company Contra-Tiempo Urban Latin Dance, Black Label Movement, and others. He serves as a dance educator, choreographer, mentor across Texas. He recently finished his 7th season with Open Dance Project under artistic director Annie Arnoult, where he’s performed in numerous world-renowned dance theatre productions and has been able to work in community outreach making dance accessible to lower income youth and families. This is his 4th season with NobleMotion Dance.
Angelica Villa
DancerAngelica Villa is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher from Houston, Texas. She began furthering her studies at Texas Woman’s University and later obtained her BFA in Dance at Sam Houston State University. She performed works by artists such as Sidra Bell and Andy Noble, in addition to working closely with Donald Shorter Jr. and Adele Nickel. Villa’s notable performances include Dance Gallery Festival, Barnstorm Dance Festival, ACDA South-Central Conference Gala Performance, and Performing Arts Houston's New/Now Series. Angelica currently teaching classes in the Houston area and is in her second season with NobleMotion Dance.
Zane Unger
DancerA native of Dallas, Texas, Zane Unger, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The Juilliard School in New York City. Zane Unger is a 2017 alumni of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Zane worked internationally in Germany at Saarländisches Staatstheater under the direction of Stijn Celis where he performed works by Marco Goecke, Richard Siegal, Marioenrico D’Angelo, and Stijn Celis. Zane is currently on faculty at BTWHSPVA where he teaches a wide variety of dance techniques and movement styles. This is his first season dancing with NobleMotion Dance.
Dillon Bell
Dancer (Apprentice)Since the age of 3, Dillon has strived for a tenacious grasp for movement and rhythm. He developed his own quality at Amanda’s Dance Center in Daytona Beach, Florida up until age 18. Leaning more and more towards concert dance, he began to gravitate toward the Orlando scene, working with Kathy Follensbee at Dr. Phillips High School. This gateway opportunity led him to work with much-acclaimed companies and choreographers, such as Jon Lehrer, Layla Amis, Robert Moses, Kiki Lucas, Joshua Manculich, and Andrew and Dionne Noble. Dillon is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance at Sam Houston State University and is in his second season dancing with NobleMotion Dance.
Madeline Payne
Dancer (Apprentice)Madeline Payne is currently a Junior at Sam houston State University working towards her BFA in Dance. She began her dance career at Boni’s Dance and Performing Arts Studio where she trained in numerous styles of dance. Madeline has also trained and competed with Koenig Dance Company for 3 years before making the transition to train pre-professionally with Artistic Soul Dance Company under the direction of Jade Whitmire. Madeline Has attended SoulEscape, Rifflette, and the Elite Training Program with Kim McSwain which allowed her to learn from a variety of different dance educators around the country. Over the years, Madeline has been fortunate enough to learn from choreographers such as Lenorris Arnold, Terrill Mitchell, Jess Hendricks, Jason Gorman, Alexa Anderson, Justin Giles, Joshua Manculich, Andrew Noble, Collette Kerwick, and Anthony Morgerato. This is Madeline’s first season with NobleMotion as an apprentice and very grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented artists.
Kaylee Phipps
Guest DancerKaylee Phipps has been dancing for 18 years and has training in ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap, and acro. Kaylee has danced with The Phoenix Mercury Hip Hop Squad for the WNBA and has worked with professional choreographers from all over the country. She is currently pursuing her BFA at Sam Houston State University and plans to dance professionally once she graduates.
Zinnia Havelka
Guest DancerZinnia Havelka grew up in Denver, Colorado training in ballet, modern, and jazz with Davis Contemporary Dance’s second company Next Generation. Following her formative years, Zinnia went on to study at Sam Houston State University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts. During her undergraduate studies Zinnia cultivated her artistry through works from choreographers such as Donald Byrd, Maya Orchin, Larissa Velez Jackson, Mike Esperanza, and Madi Hicks to name a few. Zinnia has performed works in Texas, California, Colorado, and Italy in programs such as American Collegiate Dance Association and Dance Italia as well as premiered her own works through programs like DanceChance with Danceworks Chicago, and Sam Houston State University. Zinnia Havelka Continues to grow as an artist and maker performing in the greater Houston Area.
Alyson Pennington
Guest DancerAlyson Pennington is going into her third year at Sam Houston State University working toward her BFA in Dance with a Minor in Interior Design. She began her training with The Dance Movement where she trained in many different styles of dance, before transitioning to Dance Industry Performing Arts Center for seven years to continue her training while also competing with their performing company. Alyson has attended summer intensives such as The Joffrey Ballet School, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Hubbard Street. She has been fortunate enough to perform at festivals such as Wanderlust Dance Festival, Austin Dance Festival, and American College Dance Associations regional and national festivals. Over the years Alyson has performed works by Billy Barry, Sidra Bell, Mark Caserta, Peter Chu, Gregory Dolbashian, Kiley Dolaway, Roderick George, Jess Hendricks, Matt Luck, Travis Lake, Andy Noble, Ida Saki, Micaela Taylor, and Chelsea Thedinga. This is Alyson’s first season with NobleMotion as a guest artist and she is very excited and grateful for this opportunity.
Hannah Mettler
Guest DancerHannah Mettler is a New Jersey native and primarily trained in ballet and rhythm tap dance as a young student. She graduated from Messiah University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Following graduation, Ms. Mettler joined Ad Deum 2 in Houston, Texas directed by Shizu Yasuda, and was promoted to Ad Deum’s main company in 2019, directed by Randall Flinn. Hannah has also performed as a guest Artist with Mei/co Dance directed by Meggie Belisle and with Open Sky Arts Collective directed by Lara Lanphir. This spring, Hannah had the opportunity to participate in NobleMotion’s Accelerate program and is delighted to return with NobleMotion as a guest artist.
Jaiquan Laurencin
Guest DancerJaiquan Laurencin is an educator, performer, and choreographer born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut where he studied under his mentor Jolet Creary. After moving to Texas, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education from Texas Woman's University where he was awarded Undergrad Excellence in Performance. During these years he was able to train at Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts, attend multiple dance festivals, compete with a hip-hop company, and takes summer intensives such as Noble Motion Dance Intensive. He has danced for companies such as Dark Circles Contemporary Dance under Joshua Peugh, Pedestrian Dance Movement under Liz Terry and a guest performer with Noble Motion Dance under Andy and Dionne Noble. Artists he has worked with include Sidra Bell, Gabrielle Lamb, Gregory Dolbashian, Justin Giles, and Meredith Rainey to name a few. He has worked with nonprofit organizations such as performance theaters, pre-professional and professional companies and multiple dance studios teaching at workshops, intensives, and choreographing works. Currently, he’s a Dance Director at Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy.
Bryan Ealey
Lighting Designer/Technical DirectorBryan Ealey recently received his MFA in Light Design from the University of California San Diego. He is the resident Lighting Designer/Technical Director & Board Member of NobleMotion Dance. Born and raised in Houston, TX, Bryan also holds a BA in Drama from Prairie View A&M University. Bryan has worked for several Houston theatre companies as an audio and lighting technician and has toured across the country to work in concert venues such as The Fox Theatre (Detroit), Madison Square Garden (New York), as an Audio Assistant with International R&B Artist, Teena Marie - all while being an Audio Engineer and Lighting Designer at House of Blues - Houston and Lighting Director for River Pointe Church in Richmond, Texas. During his career in Houston, Bryan held the position of AVL Supervisor and Associate Production Coordinator at Stages Theatre (Houston) until his arrival at Sam Houston State University – Department of Dance (2015 - 2020) where he served as their Dance Technical Coordinator/Director. Along his career, he has been fortunate enough to design for several theatres and dance companies such as: Main Street, 4th Wall, Stages, The Landing Theatre Company, Houston Grand Opera, Unity Theatre, Horse Head Theatre, Classical Theatre Company, NobleMotion Dance, Open Dance Project, Social Movement Contemporary Dance, Houston Contemporary Dance, Urban Souls Dance, and Von Ussar Danceworks (New York Dance Festival) at the Alvin Ailey Theater. Bryan’s passion for lighting design is rooted in the fundamental ability to shape the stage in a way that supports, gives focus, and elevates the performance and the experience for the audience. As technical and visual artists, we are here to service the story being told, whether it’s being presented through theatre, dance, or music.
Badie Khaleghian
Projection Artist/ComposerBadie Khaleghian is a dynamic composer and multimedia artist whose passion for collaborative and innovative storytelling projects ignites imaginations, conversations, and transformative experiences. With a keen interest in exploring the intersection of art, cultures, science, and technology, he creates performances that challenge boundaries and break new ground. His works have been featured at renowned festivals worldwide, including the Atemporanea Festival in Buenos Aires, the Korea Electro-Acoustic Music Society’s Annual Conference in Seoul, and the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS). Khaleghian’s compositions have been performed by a range of ensembles, from the Crossing Borders and Hub New Music to the Talea Ensemble, Transient Canvas, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Currently pursuing a doctorate in composition at Rice University, Khaleghian is deeply committed to research, teaching, and composing. He draws inspiration from his diverse cultural background and a strong desire to connect people through the power of art. Whether collaborating with other artists or working solo, Khaleghian’s work is characterized by its bold experimentation, technical sophistication, and emotional depth. With his finger on the pulse of the latest artistic trends and technologies, Khaleghian is poised to make an indelible mark on the world of contemporary music and multimedia art.Travis Lake
ComposerTravis Lake is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on choreography, music composition, and digital production. He holds a BFA from the University of Utah (American Dance Movement National Scholarship) and an MFA from Sam Houston State University (Jonathan Charles Endowed Scholarship). Based in Texas, he is a faculty member in the Department of Dance at Sam Houston State University. His research investigates the relationship between conflict and connection in narrative-based artwork. In addition to his role within the department, he works closely with the National-Champion Orange Pride Dance Team.
Travis has choreographed over 50 works for organizations, including NobleMotion Dance, University of Minnesota, Brigham Young University, University of South Carolina, Sam Houston State University, Utah Valley University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and West Virginia University. His work has been presented in venues such as: Capitol Theatre (UT), Disneyland (CA), ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex (FL), Marriott Center for Dance (UT), Hard Rock Resort (FL), The Ocean Center (FL), Daytona Beach Bandshell (FL), James and Nancy Gaertner Performing Arts Center (TX), and the Rose Wagner Blackbox Theatre (UT).
As a composer, Travis’ original music compositions have been presented by the Guggenheim, Ballet BC, Ballet West, Nederlands Dans Theater II, Arts Umbrella, NobleMotion Dance, Juliano Nunes, Ethan Colangelo, Flockworks, and Emma Portner.Barry Doss
Costume DesignerA native Texan, Barry received a BA in Theatre with a minor in Fashion Design from TCU graduating with honors in 1991. He worked as Resident Costume Designer for the Indianapolis based modern dance company, Dance Kaleidoscope until 1996, collaborating with Artistic Director, David Hochoy creating costumes for Scheherazade, Girl at the Piano, Carnival of the Animals, Carmina Burana, Seasons, and The Planets. After a European Tour of the musical HAIR as a performer, he moved to NYC where he worked in wardrobe and costume design on and off Broadway in costume shops, for TV pilots and independent film, as well as numerous Broadway musicals and plays. Some notable wardrobe jobs include Phantom of the Opera, 1776, Finian's Rainbow, Jane Eyre the Musical, Chinglish, The Scottsboro Boys, Putting It Together (starring Carol Burnett), The Vertical Hour (starring Julianne Moore), and Three Days of Rain (starring Julia Roberts). For over five years he worked on the wardrobe crew as stitcher maintaining the Tony Award winning costumes for the hit musical Wicked. At Lincoln Center he was Wardrobe Supervisor for ANN, and designed Holland Taylor’s Tony Awards gown. He has Broadway credits as Associate Costume Designer with United Scenic Artists Local 829 on such shows as The Seafarer, Hamlet (starring Jude Law), La Bete (starring Mark Rylance and Joanna Lumley), RED (starring Alfred Molina & Eddie Redmayne), Exit the King (starring Susan Sarandon and Tony Award winner Geoffrey Rush), and the revival of Evita (starring Ricky Martin). In 2014 he returned to the Lone Star to create a new Costume Crew course and Work Study Program for the Dance Department of Sam Houston State University. He was awarded Best Costume Design by the Houston Press for Stages Repertory Theatre's production of Marie Antoinette, worked with The Alley Theatre in Houston designing three new staged works in launching the first annual, Alley All New Festival, and he designed Opera in the Height’s 20th Anniversary production of Orfeo ed Eurdice directed by Leslie Swackhamer. At the ZACH Theatre in Austin, he was Costume Designer for Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and on the “Texas Revival” of Holland Taylor’s, ANN re-establishing the authentic look of the former lady governor created by Julie Weiss. He would continue to help tell the story of the beloved Democratic, Lady Governor of Texas executing original costume designs for Stages Repertory Theatre’s Houston premiere of ANN, with Sally Edmundson, and the ZACH Theatre’s most recent production of the biographical, one woman show starring Libby Valari.
Jeremy Stewart
AI Designer and Projection ArtistJeremy Stewart is a multimedia artist and performer researching the affective potential of distributed media systems through the creation of improvisational performances, artificial intelligence (A.I.) software, and wearable hardware. His work investigates the ways that technology can affect, interact with, and alter an individual’s agency, perception, and autonomy. Since 2017, Stewart has been technical director on a number of projects created by the Boston-based Masary Studios, including Sound Sculpture, HDBPM, and Figuration, which have been seen at events and venues in New England and across the country including the Peabody Essex Museum, ICA/Boston, Canal Convergence (Scottsdale, AZ.), and MUTEK San Francisco. Stewart holds his PhD from the Electronic Arts program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
